Imagine your life without the one book, movie, or album that shaped your life. What would be different about you?

If I had to choose, I’d say Star Wars and The Intouchables (The Intouchables / Ziemlich beste Freunde). Star Wars taught me that the line between light and darkness is thinner than we like to believe. Anakin Skywalker’s story isn’t just about good versus evil—it’s about how fear, loneliness, and the feeling of not being truly seen can slowly change a person. It reminds me how important it is to be loved, understood, and accepted before fear takes over.

The Intouchables carries that lesson even further. Philippe doesn’t need pity—he needs someone who sees him as a whole person. Driss accepts him without reducing him to his disability, and that’s what creates such a genuine connection.

We all have different lives, different struggles, and different needs. But underneath it all, I think we’re all looking for the same thing: to be seen, accepted, and loved for who we are.
